We were just in Texas last week and already we sort of went back today. The Smithsonian Folklife Festival is going on right now. Every year they highlight 2-3 world cultures. This year it's NASA, Bhutan, and....Texas. How random and exciting. Tonight we went to see Joe Ely and Joel Guzman play. We were also hoping to try some Texas food and see some of the displays but a thunderstorm got in the way. We are going to try again tomorrow. One of my favorite Austin restaurants -- Hoover's -- is supposed to be there. Sunday night Asleep at the Wheel is playing and we are hoping to see that too.

Every year there's a different theme at the festival. This is probably the only time it will ever be Texas.

Hard to tell here but when we got there we could tell that a storm was going to interrupt our plans. We decided to wait it out in the National Museum of Natural History.

This dingo is trying to eat our baby.

Hey, I have one of those!

Our stroller has a special compartment for Shiner Bock.

I'm ready to rock.

From left -- Joel Guzman, Joe Ely, Lloyd Maines. They started late so we had to miss the end of their set, but what we heard was great. And it's officially Georgie's first concert!
