Weekend recap

What a busy weekend! I don't know where it went. Friday we went shopping for Georgie's birthday outfit. We went to Tyson's Corner, where they have a play area for the little ones. It was an absolute madhouse. Seems like we always go to these play areas and there are 1000 kids and no other parents to be found. I think people jack their kids up on candy and leave them there while they shop. Georgie had some fun but was mostly overwhelmed by the carnage and bloodshed.

Saturday morning we went to a meeting of a babysitting co-op in our neighborhood. I guess we joined (?). It's a neat idea -- a group of parents share babysitting duties. You get points for sitting and use them if someone sits for you. I don't think we'll be dropping Georgine off with anyone soon but we might take a kid. Most of the kids (I think there were 8) were about 18 months old. Georgie had fun playing with them.

Saturday afternoon I took Georgie to the park while Nikki did stuff around the house. She had a lot of fun on the swing and in the sandbox.

Saturday night Rachelle and Lubo went out to a concert and we watched Milena. That was a blast. She's a sweet kid and she loves Georgie. We read stories and listened to sing-a-long songs.

Sunday we were totally taken by surprise by stupid Daylight savings. Our morning trip to the mall turned into a nooner. We didn't have any success Friday with the b-day outfit so we decided to hit the outlet malls. We found the perfect thing -- more on that in a few days. I needed to break a 20 so I got an Orange Julius, which tasted nowhere near is good as I remembered them tasting from childhood.
