On the farm

We all went over to Georgie's grandparents' farm today. Georgie put on her Bulgarian golfer pants but I had to break it to her that we wouldn't be golfing today.

First Georgie saw some animals -- Eli's dog just had pups plus we saw his chickens and turkey. We also saw some hunters -- two of Nikki's cousins were going out after mule deer with their families. She also saw some cows break through some fence and get out. Eli had Nikki's cousins kids chase the cows back in from behind while he opened the gate. Georgie was oblivious to all of this drama.

Then we all went down to see the reservoir, which now has water in it and looks great.

I helped Dale clean out his pump and get it going again. (I actually did very little.)

Georgie practiced her wave.

And got a driving lesson.

We left pretty late so I tried to get a shot of how many stars you can see at night here. I used the manual shutter mode on our camera and set it for 12 seconds. Not sure what you can see here:

We got home and I got to enjoy the Longhorns' seeming victory over Tech for 1.5 minutes. Then it all came crashing down.
