Stuck inside of Big Timber

Montana just doesn't want to let me go. Things started great today. I finished packing right away and still had time to play with Georgie for a few minutes. I got through Great Falls just fine. Then at Eddie's Corner (jct. of US 87 and 191) I noticed it started snowing. Ten miles toward Harlowton the visibility started to get pretty low and the flurries got heavier. I made it to Harlowton and decided to try to wait it out. Let me pause to say that this storm system was not even on the map this morning and appeared to originate out of Harlowton. My assumption had to be that it was a fluke and would fade out. Well, that storm system now takes up a third of Montana on the map.

So anyway, I hung around Harlowton for about an hour, then decided that Lavina was out of the question, so I headed to Big Timber. It's 45 miles and would get me to interstate 90. What awaited me was over an hour of white-knuckle driving, the kind where you can't take your eye off the road for 1 second. I could only see the road for about 5 miles of it and was often guiding of the reflectors on the side. The interstate seemed clearer but I started slipping around so I decided that Big Timber had to be my home for the night.

So I don't know what's next. I might have to wait till they clear the roads tomorrow. I am going to try to leave early but we'll see. I still have all 3 routes open to me so I'll make a decision in Billings tomorrow. In the mean time, I'll have to accept my 250 mile day and try to play catch up the next 2.5.
