Outside Again This Morning

With Grandma, suspiciously eyeing the neighbor.

Snow Day #4

Well, my dad got stuck in his 4WD diesel pick-up going down the lane today, and roads are still shut down all around Valier. So the new hope is that I can get to the school tomorrow. In the meantime, here are some pictures from yesterday. My dad plowed off the driveway and made some tracks in the snow so Georgie would have some places to walk. Also is a picture of Georgie eating an organic yam (for the first time; she loved it) Grandma got for her and some pear.

Snow Day #3

The weather's even worse today. All roads are closed in the county. Today the rental car is almost completely covered with snow.

And some pictures of Georgie having breakfast this morning.

April Snow Showers, Continued

Snow is currently falling at 2 inches per hour ...

And More Pictures From Yesterday

Note: There's a video in the post below this one.

Some more pics from last night.

A video from yesterday

Last night when my dad got home, he showed Georgie a picture from the blog of her outside, and she grabbed her coat and tried to put it on. So we took her outside again. She loved to splash around in the slush. Here's a video of that.

Oops

So I am not going to Montana this weekend. Somehow I mixed up the dates when booking and I am actually going a week later. We tried to change it today but there wasn't an option that wasn't at least 700 more dollars. We did manage to get all three of us on the same flight. Needless to say, I am totally bummed. I've got 11 more days to sit here and eat ribs and cookies and watch bad movies.

April Snow Fun

We went outside and went sledding and walked in the snow before Georgie's nap. It was in the 40s (now is about 50, so maybe this weather will be gone soon). She was kind of tired but seemed to enjoy being outside. Grandma had some size 5 boots she bought for Samantha several years ago... they worked perfectly for Georgie.

Springtime in Montana

It's the last week of April, and this is what we woke up to this morning....

So I can't go to the school today. The winter weather advisory is in effect until Thursday morning (with possibly 2-3 feet expected to accumulating near where the school is...). Hopefully the forecast will change and I'll be able to make it up soon.

In other spring news, there are some little kittens right outside the house (sheltered from the snow). Georgie got to pet them yesterday.

Back in Montana

Georgie and I arrived in the GTF airport last night at 10:45 p.m. She did great on the plane, but it had been a long day, so we stayed at a hotel before driving up to my parents. So we drove up late this morning ... it was in the mid- to upper 30s and snowing.

Here's Georgie playing with toys, playing chase and peek-a-boo, and looking at the kitties outside.

Bachelor party

Just kidding I'm actually really bored. Nikki and Georgie flew away yesterday. So far bachelor life consists of making less than perfect food choices and watching Hitchcock movies. Which might sound kind of fun, but I'd much rather be in Montana with my girls.

Springtime

It's into the upper 70s today and feels great. I guess spring is really here now. We spent most of the afternoon outside in various activities. First up was car riding:

Then we did a bit of dining al fresco:

Then it was time to play in the mud for the first time:

And finally, some hugs from Milena:

Then it's time to debut the new summer pajamas from Nana:
