Today is the warmest day of the year thus far. We decided to go down to Mount Vernon, George Washington's estate. It's about 15 miles south of our house along a very nice riverside drive. When we got there we discovered that it costs 15 bucks a person to get in. So these are pictures of us outside of Mount Vernon. We wouldn't pay that much for a place that doesn't have rides. That's a joke, but we did decide to come back on a weekday to get our money's worth. The place was swamped with tour groups.

That didn't stop us from spending a while outside though. One of the things you'll notice about Georgie here is that she's not wearing her usual soft-sole first walker shoes. She's been walking really well so we decided to see how she'd handle some firmer ones. Here she's wearing some Chucks that we bought in Helena. It took her just a second the adjust this morning and then she was practically running in them.
