We did a little Sunday fishing today. We went down to Fountainhead Regional Park, which is part of the Occoquan reservoir. There is supposed to be good bass and crappie fishing. We received nary a nibble but we were fishing from the shore in the middle of the day. I just have to get me some waders (and wake up earlier). I would rather fish for trout but that requires significantly more time and planning. This place was maybe 30 minutes away. It was a pretty dirty park, but still nice to be out on the lake. On our way back I accidentally found the other nearby place I'd like to try fishing -- Burke Lake Park. It was just a few miles down the road. We've been to that park before but there is a separate area for fishing that we haven't seen. I bookmarked it on the GPS. Maybe one day this week we'll go there.
These are from last night and they are Georgie trying on one of my boots backwards. She did a pretty good job hobbling around in one backwards boot and was ready to go back outside.
Starting at the end of the year, we are going to do two new things with the blog:
1. Password protect this blog 2. Start a new blog, with a new web host.
We haven't exactly figured out the second part. The first part is sort of an attempt to protect Georgie's privacy a little more. The reason I am posting this notice here is that you'll need me to send you an invite to read it after that. Most of you we already know to do this for, but just in case, please e-mail me (Aaron) and remind me to add you to the list.
