As soon as we left the book festival this morning, it started raining and didn't stop. But I think we made the most of the rainy day. We went to Target and finally found a storage solution for all the clothes we've been handed down for Georgie. Then on the way home, we stopped off at a custard shop in Del Ray called Dairy Godmother. Every day they have a new flavor. Today was oatmeal cookie and it was perfect.

The other thing Dairy Godmother sells besides frozen custard is magic wands. Georgie actually liked the wand more.

When we got home, Georgie and I got to work on building our storage cubby hole thing.

A bit of parental bragginess: Georgie is very adept at using a screwdriver. She went around "tightening" each one after me. She was very thorough. See video below.

O my gosh, I'd be bragging too. That's awesome! She totally looks like she knows what she's doing.
I'm a big fan of cubbie holes rather than drawers for clothes. I like to think that it's because I'm a visual person and need to SEE what I have rather than DIG through drawers, but it probably has more to do with laziness and preferring tossing in the general direction rather than opening and closing drawers. I do like the look of folded clothes in cubbies, though (when I actually take the time to fold). ( I s'pose you could get little baskets for the cubbie holes if you wanted to...)
Yeah, I love the cubbie hole solution. It was cheaper than a dresser, too. We actually did get baskets for them. Her clothes are (for now) in the living/play room, so I wanted it to look a little neater (rather than clothes just thrown in there). Plus, this way I could organize clothes by color basket: Pink basket in the center (pajamas); 2 blue ones (one has shorts, one has pants); 2 tan ones (one has short-sleave shorts, one has long); 2 green ones (one has dresses, one has skirts); 2 red ones (one has socks, one has shoes).
