We were in DC today and, when we drove past the International Spy Museum, we saw a parade of Trabants. The last time I saw a parade of Trabbies was in 1989-90, when we lived in West Germany and saw them on all the roads, coming over from the East to shop (and staying, I imagine). Nikki immediately decided that Trabants are her kind of car, but I doubt we'll be getting one anytime soon. I'm surprised they are street-legal here, in fact.

Seems like a shame to have a car show like that without popping the hoods!
I distinctly remember seeing one in the K-town BX parking lot and it blowing my little American mind that a car that small existed.
Oops - I meant to include one. I added one at the bottom.
Remember when you wanted a Yugo so bad?
Oh wow. I didn't realise it but I've seen a few Trabbies around here in Yorkshire. Sam called it a Mini-Cooper. I (LP) thought it was an MG or something, but now we know! Good pics.
