Doggie

Georgie met a doggie today and loved her. The dog loved Georgie even more. Georgie loves dogs but only found out today for the first time that they can lick your face. The dog belong to the owner of a very nice store on U Street in DC called Greater Goods. It was sort of a green home store. That was the high note of our trip to the district. The low note was going into 8 businesses and not finding a changing table to change a poopy diaper. Well that and some dood blowing his swisher sweet smoke in my face.

I ended up changing the diaper on the bathroom counter of the salon we were at. That's the reason we were in the district to begin with -- Nikki got her first haircut in over two years. It looks good I think. Pictures will come soon.

In other news, our dinner was good so I will share the recipe. I decided to use up a few things in the fridge and I wound up making something in the crock pot that I'll call Mexican Gumbo. Here's what I put in: Box of chicken broth; two chorizo sausages; one chicken breast; one can of black beans; one can of Rotel; 1.5 cups or so of rice; half a jar of sofrito; garlic, oregano, and cilantro.
