Wednesday: Gym and New Food

Two pictures from open gym this morning.

I met a really nice and interesting mom there; we talked for quite a while. I'm sure I'll see her there again.

Then we went home, napped, and had a shared meal: Goat, apricot and couscous. I got the recipe from the excellent River Cottage Cookbook (a gift from L&M). The recipe was actually Tagine of Mutton and Apricot. But goat tastes so much like lamb, we used goat. And thanks to my favorite inventions, the crockpot [thanks D&S] and the high chair, I was actually able to cook a whole meal yesterday (over 2 of G's meals, granted). Anyway....today Georgie and I had some for lunch. Georgie didn't like the pureed lamb, but she seemed to be more interested in this dish. With the apricots, it was kind of sweet, so I think that made it better for her. It also had interesting spices -- cinnamon, cardamom, cumin, mace. Here's Georgie's meal. Actually the pic's a little blurry (user error); am posting it anyway.

More pics.

She likes feeding people food. Today at the gym she tried to feed a little boy a toy car.

That food looks pretty good! I hope to try some goat while I'm out there (hint, hint)! I'll have to show you the beauty of the macro focus mode on the camera while I"m out there too! :)
