Tuesday

Mommy dropped Georgie and I off at the mall today. We had a blast looking around at different shops. And it gave Nikki a much deserved break -- she hasn't been away from Georgie more than about 20 minutes in weeks. In part that is because Georgie has been going through a big bout of separation anxiety from her. Today went fine though. She seemed content to be with her papa and wanted me to carry her the entire time.

Later on we went to Capitol City Brewing Company for happy hour. We split a few appetizers and I had a Chamomile Pale on cask. It was delicious and delightfully served at almost room temperature. They take their cask seriously there I guess. They also had a belgian chocolate ale, but I didn't notice that until I had ordered. Guess we'll have to go back Thursday when pints are 2 bucks.

Often when we go to restaurants the waitstaff ask well-intentioned but kind of crazy questions. Like asking if 6 month old Georgie wants a grilled cheese -- that kind of thing. Today they brought her crayons. Normally I would just put them aside but we decided, what the heck, let's color. And Georgie seemed mildly entertained by it for a bit. Then, as predicted the crayons started heading for the mouth. That's ok, we'll get there soon enough.

Finally, this isn't Georgie expressing solidarity with the feldgling democracy of Iraq. She had blueberries last night. She really enjoyed them, though I think she fed us more of them than she fed herself.
