Darla and Steve made us an amazing breakfast spread today, including a lot of food from their garden.
This looks like a sweet picture until you notice how tightly Georgie is grabbing Uncle Steve's throat. They did have some nice bonding time today though.
The highlight of the day was a trip to Sauvie Island, where we went to a pumpkin patch at this farm. We bought a bunch of small pumpkins, which will be snacks for the goats.
It was pretty cold, so Georgie got to try out some of her new winter clothes.
After the pumpkin patch, we went to Powell's Books, a bookstore that never ceases to amaze me. I got a book on goats and one on farming. And we finally got Georgie something she's been sorely needing -- more board books. Later, we had dinner at an unassuming Japanese country-style restaurant called Takahashi. The food was amazing, especially Nikki's sukiyaki. Darla and Steve were amazing hosts to us the last few days and we'll miss them incredibly. Tomorrow we're off to Missoula as early as possible, then back home Monday morning.
Starting at the end of the year, we are going to do two new things with the blog:
1. Password protect this blog 2. Start a new blog, with a new web host.
We haven't exactly figured out the second part. The first part is sort of an attempt to protect Georgie's privacy a little more. The reason I am posting this notice here is that you'll need me to send you an invite to read it after that. Most of you we already know to do this for, but just in case, please e-mail me (Aaron) and remind me to add you to the list.
