Birthday Recap

I had a wonderful birthday yesterday, one of the best.

It started with lots of nice birthday wishes from friends and family ... and with Aaron bringing me donuts for breakfast. Then we had some family time and Aaron went to bed.

Then Georgie and I headed to H&M to do some shopping (for her). Their newborn-18 months clothes are so adorable, my favorite. But their clothes for 1-8 years? Blah. For the most part. Maybe it's just what they had in stock now, but the clothes were totally 1980s style stuff. I just cannot dress Georgie in that style. 1970s or earlier? Yes. 1980s or 1990s? No. The '80s are the first decade I really remember, and it is too weird to dress Georgie like that.

Then we went to the Building Museum for lunch and playtime. She's laughing at a boy knocking down blocks in a couple of these pictures.

Then home for a nap.

Aaron got up after Georgie's nap and took Georgie out to do some 'errands' while I stayed home and relaxed. He surprised me by having invited Rachelle and her family over for a party for me; it's so wonderful to have such good friends nearby. Georgie had a total blast with Milena. Aaron and Georgie had picked up horsie party hats and paper plates (picked out by Georgie). Rachelle and family supplied the pizza and sparkly wine.

Aaron and Georgie picked up this chocolate and peanut butter frozen custard cake for me.

Here are some pictures from the party.

Aaron also got me a certificate for a massage at a spa on the Columbia River for our upcoming Portland trip. My mom and sister designed and sewed these for me and Georgie (also a matching potholder and a really cute pan with farm-animal molds). Please note the bear sewn on Georgie's apron, coming out of the pocket.

Thanks for orchestrating this perfect day for me, Aaron. I love you. And thanks to everyone for making me feel so loved.
