We had decided to go this roundabout way to the IKEA in College Park and get a new bathmat. But by the time we got to the turnoff for I-95, she had only been asleep 10 or 15 minutes. IKEA was just two miles after that so I took 95 north. I didn't exit until we got to the Ravens stadium, which was full of fans. We drove around the Mount Vernon neighborhood some and Georgie finally woke up. We tried to go to the aquarium but we would have only had an hour and the tickets are 25 dollars each.
We decided to walk around the Inner Harbor anyway and as soon as we got out of the car, Georgie said, "Eat!"
We asked her what she wanted and she thought for a second before announcing, "Fries!"
Well our best bet for decent fries was Hard Rock Cafe, so that's where we went. It was a little loud but Georgie loved the decor, especially the car above the bar. And now that I think about it, she sat in her highchair patiently for longer than I've ever seen her sit. So it was kind of an accident, but we had fun with our little Baltimore trip.

I can't wait to see her! And you. I'm sure we can find some fries in Portland, but maybe not with the same decor. She might have to settle for bicycle-themed outings. Oh, and there's a great frozen custard shop near us, too, with the most amazing frozen yogurt. (They leave it tasting like yogurt instead of trying to make it a lower fat ice cream.)
I bet you could draw little faces on the acorns with a sharpie and glue their hats back on. If you wanted to.
That's a great idea, about doing faces on the acorn. I think Georgie would want to play with the Sharpie, but maybe we can use glitter glue (which comes right off her hands) to make eyes and a mouth or something. And then we can glue the hats on. Fun!
