No pictures today. Just a story (mostly for the grandparents).
Before Georgie could talk, she would wake up every morning and practice her new skill (say, pointing) when she first woke up. Now that she's talking, she does a nightly review of words or phrases that she's been saying recently, or new words or phrases she learned that day. So some nights, when she first started talking, it was "mama mama mama papa papa papa" over and over and over again. One night she kept saying "adam ... shoes" and then last night it was "uncle adam" (because we taught her "uncle adam" yesterday) because she's been wearing these shoes Adam got for her (and she says "adam" or "uncle adam" every time we put those shoes on her).
Tonight's monologue was especially funny. It went something like "hot hot hot too ... hot, too ... hot, cold cold wash hannies, wash ... clothes, yeps yeps yes pa-mino pa-mino yes yes yes," and on and on for about 10 minutes (I'll have to figure out how to record these and post them here; they're much funnier when you can actually hear it). Today she learned "too hot" and she's been saying "hot" and "cold" a lot (also says "spicy," which sounds so cute). She always wants to wash her hands after she eats (in highchair or in a restaurant [yesterday she told the waiter, "Wash hannies!"]) or if we're any place where she's ever washed her hands (e.g., the laundry room). Also, she says "yeah" or "oh yeah" or "yes" ... and today added "yeps" (from me saying "yeppers"). Finally, the "pa-mino" is "palomino," a word from one of her favorite songs ("Listen to the Horses," by Raffi).
Georgie does or says so many funny things every day. She's somehow getting to be more fun every day.

Maybe you can use your linguistics recording equipment to record her. I'd love to hear her! ...so cute.
Yeah, I thought about my recording equipment, but it might be easier to just use our camera and make a video (i.e., darkness bc it's in the bedroom at night) but so you could hear the sounds -- would be easier to upload to blogger that way I think. Will have to try but keep forgetting until we get up there and she's chattering!
