Blue Heron Lane

We stayed with my parents for the first 3 (almost 4, for me and Georgie) weeks we were here. They were so nice to let us -- and our 2 cats! -- stay with them for so long. Mom cooked for us a lot (and brought us soup and cookies at our new place, not to mention thoroughly cleaning the bathroom, kitchen, and windows and steam-cleaning upstairs for us, etc.), and Dad helped us with lots of things too (diligently turning the TV off when Georgie came into the room; moving furniture and freezer; hauling water for our new place, etc.). Here are some more pictures from that time.

First, a blue heron! My parents named the road up to our house 'Blue Heron Lane'; I always thought it sounded nice ... but it's nice to know there are actually blue herons around. Not sure if you can tell from the picture, but it was huge. It flew off and met its buddy, who was waiting on a telephone pole nearby. Photo by Grandma.

Georgie on a coldish morning with Grandma and her flowers.

Georgie playing the piano with Grandpa. This is the time I mentioned in the 6-month review -- this was one of the first (maybe the first) times she understood that she was playing the keys. So she'd play them, then check in with me. Such a sweet girl.

I think this is on the way to/from Glacier, I think..... Photo by Grandma or Grandpa.
