Friday Afternoon Lights

Well as I mentioned, Georgie went to her first high school football game. This wasn't exactly Texas-style high school football, with special teams coaches and full camera crews. In fact neither team seemed to have more than 20 players total and they were playing 6 on 6. Nonetheless, it was a lot of fun. It was very interesting to see our all-Indian team play an all-white team from another area. I am sure the white kids all went home and told their friends about how they tackled or (more likely) were tackled by a huge Indian with braids and everything.

After the game, we stopped by one of the two restaurants in town, Pierre's. I met Pierre the other day went I went to ask if he had an ATM. He's a really nice guy and he does a great job with his restaurant. He even offered to pick me up anything I needed on his frequent trips to Sam's Club in Great Falls.

I told Nikki how nice he was and we decided that we wanted to go have a meal at his place. The other night was pork chop night but we were both too tired. So we decided to go have a post-game meal there tonight. We both had the special -- prime rib sandwiches. They were great. I also had a Big Sky Summer Honey ale, which was delicious.

I think we may go back with my family on Sunday. Pierre's mom just got back from a 60-mile cancer walk in Seattle and she brought back some salmon from Pike Place market. They are grilling it Sunday. She also brought back some fresh peaches and apples and is going to do some pies.
