Today was a special day for Georgie -- her first food. We are starting her out on some rice cereal. To introduce it we mixed it 3-to-1 with breastmilk and gave it to her off of our fingers. Our goal tonight wasn't to have her take a certain amount but to try it and show interest in it. That she definitely did. She chewed on it a little, then looked at me in confusion and curiosity. After a while she was pulling my finger toward her to take some.Nikki then took a turn and then we decided to just dump the cereal on the tray and see what happened. She flicked a little on me and then did something sort of amazing from an evolutionary standpoint -- she made a tool! She dipped her bib in the cereal and then started sucking on the bib. Brilliant!

I guess working with on Hobbins is as good as meeting all the others!
