There are a couple of new kittens outside. This is the friendliest and cutest one. Should we adopt it? It would be Georgie's kitty, though she showed no initial interest in it. It's hard to imagine having 3 cats but it's also hard to imagine not adopting this little guy.

Some people say that cats you get from the wild like that never turn out to be great pets. I say, "Have you met Nigel? The best cat in the world?"
I say go for it! If you make sure to hold him a lot, he might even turn out to be a lap cat, unlike two other cats I happen to know!
We would love a little Nigel Jr.! My biggest hesitation is that we wanted Georgie to pick out her own kitten when she's old enough. Hopefully she will want a cat instead of a dog.

Hey Samantha! Maybe you and Mei can take a kitten home at Christmas! :) Actually, they might be a little bigger than what you'd want then.
I think the "word verification" thing prevents spam in the comments. Aaron had a blog several years ago, and he got a bunch of spam comments.
