Back on the road. We are about 50 miles from the IN-IL border. Going to get through Chicago over the next 2 hours and that'll be the end of any traffic or urban anything for the rest of the trip. It will also be the end of the un-American practice of charging tolls on the interstate (PA, OH, IN, and IL do this). Grandpapa is driving right now and we are listening to the Horsies. I think I'll take over when we need gas. So far he is winning the gas mileage contest. I think he averaged a little over 32 mpg yesterday. The cats are holding up well. They protested a little going in the carriers this morning but are now silent again. Our hotel last night had a no-pet policy so we had to go through a little bit of a cover-up operation this morning. I just asked Grandpapa if there is anything he'd like to add about this trip. He said "It's been long," "The beer was good," and "Indiana was boring." Oh, and he added, "We shouldn't drink and drive so much."
