Tuesday

From Nikki: Georgie's been sitting up more and is getting better at balancing. I usually put the boppy pillow next to her, because she (somewhat intentionally) goes from sitting to crawling position and falls kinda hard sometimes. She had kind of a fussy day today. The things that made her happy: being outside (always works), having one parent hold her while the other plays with her, and staring at the lamp (bottom picture). It was a relatively cool day today, so I could take her outside any time today. I think her fussiness might be teething, or else she's as sick of our apt as we are. Actually, part of her fussiness I think is because she wants to be more mobile and she's just not there yet. But she's getting there! Yesterday she toppled sideways out of her Bumbo seat, for instance. She also rolls toward her toys or toward us sometimes. Oh, and my favorite thing -- she's started reaching toward us when she wants us to hold her, and she'll reach toward Aaron (or me) when we walk by and the other of us is holding her. It's so fun that she's getting more communicative, and we try to respect her wishes (as much as we understand them).
